The Education and Research Center (ERC) is located on the 1st floor of the Iowa Methodist parking lot. The Iowa Methodist parking lot is located on the west side of the Iowa Methodist campus at the corner of Pleasant St. and #14. We recommend parking in the Iowa Methodist parking garage and taking the south parking garage elevator to the first floor. After exiting the elevator, you will be in the ERC. You can also enter the ERC from the Woodland Avenue entrance.

The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS COT) recognizes that mass casualty incidents are not just a busy night at an urban trauma center. Most service providers have little or no experience or expertise in such situations. To fill this gap, the Trauma Commission developed this course to help hospital staff develop the necessary skills, understand the language, and assess structural changes to respond to mass casualty disasters. This multi-phase addition and renovation project is currently under construction in the center of the hospital campus.
