US News & World Report, the global authority on education, today released its 2023-2024 Best High School rankings. There are approximately 18,000 public high school ratings at the national, state and local levels. And Arizona has three of the top five charter schools in the United States.

This year’s rankings include schools whose students have shown excellent results, exceeding expectations, including achieving high graduation rates.
Here Are The Top Ranked High Schools In Arizona For 2022
“Access to a strong high school curriculum is the most important thing for students in an ever-changing world,” said Liana Loews, education management editor at US News. “The extensive data available to our schools helps parents ensure their children are in the best educational environment in which they can thrive.”
The 2023-2024 Best High Schools list does not include nationally ranked high schools whose students achieved exceptional results on state math, reading and science assessments. Additionally, the school serves a wide variety of college and career students, as well as graduation rates.
College readiness specifically measures attendance and performance on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate tests, and does not track student performance for students who are black, Hispanic or from low-income families. The rankings include demographic information about schools that rank in the top 5%, 10% and 25%.
The Best High Schools rankings are available only on USNews.com and include information on several factors, such as enrollment, student diversity, participation in free and reduced lunch programs, in addition to graduation rates and state performance ratings. US News partnered with RTI International, a global research firm, to implement a comprehensive rating methodology.
