Unitypoint To Merge With New Mexico Based Health System

Healthcare has a history of residency training that dates back to the 1940s. The emergency medicine residency joins six other residency programs. This allows our residents to develop friendships with other residents, but they are not competing for procedures or patient appointments.

On the first day of residency, you will meet with a teacher based on your interests. Your mentor will help you adjust as a new resident, move to a new city, and guide you on a professional and personal level. This level of personal connection is an indication of the value we place on each resident’s success. We know our emergency medicine residents will excel here and find a happy balance in their personal and professional lives with the experience and skills they will gain in their careers.

On behalf of our department, we appreciate your interest in our program and are here to answer any questions you may have.

Our program strives to provide residents with comprehensive academic, research, clinical training, and emergency medicine experience in a community setting.
