The South River meets the Zen desert in the perfect tower in Mandalay Bay. Sleek bars, 42-inch plasma televisions, soft carpets, white carpets and floor-to-ceiling windows turn the guest rooms into an oasis in the Nevada desert; in the lobby, stones and dark colors bring back the atmosphere. This property is connected to the rest of Mandalay Bay, but also has its own check-in, luxury coffee bar, observation deck and a fantastic 24-hour restaurant. There is no doubt that they are all big hotels, but it turns out that the price is very competitive with other big hotels.

You Should Know The Delano is one of the few properties on the Strip that doesn’t have sports. The order here is relaxation, so enjoy the casino table with the Bathhouse Spa, which offers a range of facials, massages and other services.
The kitchen, inspired by the food markets of Provence and Italy, is reminiscent of a vacation on the Riviera. Next to Rivea is the iconic Skyfall Lounge, which has a James Bond feel. When you’re back on the ground, Della’s Kitchen serves delicious breakfasts and lunches made with fresh, local ingredients.
Delano may have the best and coolest bar on the entire Strip. Franklin (Delano… get it?) Lounge has a great cocktail program (try the signature Delano Daquiri or the pretty Frankly moniker). The decor has a fun color palette of aqua blue, brass and touches of gold, with small lights on the ceiling that twinkle like fire. This is the best place for a date or after work drink.
The Delano is located at the southern end of the Strip, and you can easily walk to Mandalay Bay, the Four Seasons, and even the T-Mobile Arena. However, if you want to go to a property in the middle of The Strip, it’s best to call an Uber or a taxi.

Mandalay Bay has some of the best restaurants in town, including Aureole (a 10-minute walk) and Libertine Social (a 10-minute walk).
The press at The Four Seasons (10 minute walk) is a great place to enjoy a cocktail or two. For something different, visit the vodka store in Red Square (a 10-minute walk) at Mandalay Bay.

Delano Las Vegas To Reopen On July 1 With Mandalay Bay
In 2012, owner MGM Resorts International announced a partnership with Morgans Hotel Group to rename the Delano Las Vegas hotel. The renovation of the hotel started in April 2014. The work was done on several floors at the same time, so most of the hotel was in operation during the renovation. Delano held its grand opening in September 2014. The hotel has an Alain Ducasse restaurant called “Rivea” and a spa called “Skyfall”, both located on the top of the hotel.
On May 23, 2002, the Mandalay Resort Group announced plans to build a skyscraper that would connect the company’s Mandalay Bay resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The Mandalay Bay Convention Center has approved plans to build a new tower, with construction scheduled to begin in January 2003. The tower will cost between $200 million and $225 million, and construction will begin in September of 2002.
In September 2003, the Mandalay Resort Group announced that planned Thanksgiving operations for the tower would be postponed until the end of December 2003.

In 2006, the letter on the top of the tower was changed to “Hotel” to distinguish the property. On the back, the writing is the same as the letters “Mandalay Bay” on top of the original tower.
Later that year, Travelocity included the hotel in its list of the 10 best hotels in Las Vegas, based on customer reviews.
On August 6, 2012, MGM Resorts International announced the rebranding of THEhotel to Delano Las Vegas as part of a partnership with Morgans Hotel Group. Through the deal, MGM will operate the hotel under a license agreement with Morgans Hotel Group, owner of the Delano brand. All rooms in the hotel will be redesigned, along with a new bar, lounge, restaurant and dance hall. The conversion and name change was originally expected to be completed by the end of 2013,
Although THEhotel was a financial success, the decision to renovate and rebuild the hotel was part of a change at Mandalay Bay. In addition, the nine-year-old hotel tower is already scheduled to undergo renovations before entering into an alliance with Morgans Hotel Group, which has expanded the Delano brand.

The Morgan Hotel Group previously planned to operate the Delano Hotel at the canceled Echelon project on Las Vegas Strip.
Mandalay Bay President and CEO Chuck Bowling said that while people love THEhotel, “in many cases it is the tower of Mandalay Bay. What we want to do at the Delano is create its spirit, its energy.”
Because the design phase was taking longer than expected, MGM announced in September 2013 that the renovation of the property would be delayed for several months.
The following month it was announced that the design plans have been completed, and the reconstruction of the hotel is expected to begin in March 2014, and work will begin in the third quarter of this year.
