Motorcycle Dealers New Port Richey Florida – NEW HARBOR RESOURCES – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle Wednesday afternoon at DeCubellis Road and Tanglewood Drive.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Joshua Fournieri of New Port Richey was driving a Yamaha motorcycle “at a high rate of speed” when the crash happened around 1:15 p.m.

After Fournieri returned to the westbound lane on DeCubellis, he encountered an eastbound vehicle and began turning left onto Tanglewood Drive.

Fournier hit the brakes. The motorcycle hit the right side of a Hyundai Sonata driven by Gaines Blackenship, 79, of New Port Richey, and flipped onto its side.
Due to the impact, the car turned clockwise and stopped at the northwest corner of the intersection. Part of the motorcycle struck Stanley Steamer in the eastbound lane behind the Hyundai. Fournieri died at the scene. He was 20 years old.
According to Fournieri’s Facebook profile, he graduated from River Ridge High School in 2011 and attended Pasco-Hernando Community College.
A 100-foot skid mark marked DeCubelis’ path to the crash site. Another 30 meters of debris spread across the road, with only the largest parts of the motorcycle identified: two wheels, a frame, a crashed engine and a single rear-view mirror at the end of the road.

FHP vehicles remained parked near the scene as troopers worked into the afternoon. A red Hyundai sat on the corner of the square, its rear bumper still hanging off and a dent in its side. A stop sign emerges from behind the driver’s rear wheel.
Blakeship was not injured in the crash, FHP said. The Army is still deciding who to bring.
Traffic was backed up and diverted for several hours Wednesday as responders placed a white sheet over Fornery’s body. A few meters away, two white sneakers – one on the sidewalk, the other on the cycle path – still sat upright.
