The company has not taken any debt except the loan to acquire real estate. It has four local offices, two of which are data centers. It offers co-location solutions that allow customers to host their network servers at a secure, air-conditioned site that operates 24/7 to free up space for other needs.
Two years ago, the company purchased a two-story office building at 800 S. Valley View Blvd. $1.12 million with an SBA 504 loan.
He said the loan process was not as complicated as Mizrahi had expected. “It was my first time with an SBA (US Small Business Administration) loan and it was so easy,” she said. “The whole process took 60 to 90 days.”
This year, they received a $50,000 remodeling grant from the city of Las Vegas to revamp the exterior of the Valley View office, including a 45-foot digital LED sign with the company name. Other upgrades to the building, which is currently used for storage but will become a marketing center, are expected to be completed this year. And the company bought a warehouse nearby for much-needed storage.

Although LV.Net is the ISP for several suburban school districts in California, Mizrahi has no plans to expand into the Golden State, he said. Instead, he’s focused on building a strong presence in Reno and rural Nevada, eventually adding 20 to 30 employees to his current 50 employees.
He expects the partnership to expand as Las Vegas seeks to become a smart city. “They want to be at the forefront of technology, so they embrace everything with technology,” he said.
Mizrahi, 40, moved to Las Vegas straight out of high school in 1989 from Los Angeles, where he grew up, to help his parents with their decorating business. Armed with technical skills, he dropped out of college and five years later started his own company.
He has taken over several domains and desirable phone numbers, including his company’s current 702-900-0000, which he pronounces “nine million.” He sold the domain names “LA.com” to the Los Angeles Daily News in 2002 and “Vegas.com” and “Vegas.net” to Greenspun Media in 1999 for an undisclosed sum.
