This universal helmet law remained in effect until 2019. That year, Missouri diluted its helmet law. Under the revised law, which took effect in 2020, only two classes of riders would be required to wear a helmet:

A judge can punish a violation of the helmet law with a fine. For a first offense, the fine cannot exceed $25. But the Missouri DMV cannot add points to your driving record for a helmet law violation.

The Missouri Legislature took a further step toward a helmet requirement. Under the law reviewed, Missouri police and highway patrol troopers cannot pull someone out because they are not wearing a helmet. Moves Missouri from a primary enforcement declaration to a secondary enforcement declaration.

In a primary enforcement statement, police can stop motorcyclists without a helmet to check their compliance with state statute. 

For example, if Missouri maintains primary enforcement, police officers can prevent motorcyclists from determining their age, license and insurance status.

The number of lesions in the head and brain also increased. In Texas and Arkansas, the number of head injuries nearly doubled after they recalled their helmets. But, of concern, the number of serious head injuries has decreased, while the number of moderate and light injuries has increased.

This meant that motorcyclists who suffered serious head injuries while wearing helmets became dead without a helmet. Only those with smaller and moderate injuries survived without a helmet.

Even more concerning is the fact that costs associated with treating motorcycles in Texas and Arkansas have increased since the helmet recall. The recall resulted in more complicated injuries that needed more complicated treatment.

Such a creative space with its blend of quirky, funky structure and new compartmentalized screens. We love how wood, concrete and metal have been kept as part of the aesthetic.

Didn’t you know Maserati made motorcycles? We don’t even have that. Above, this 1956 Maserati Corsa 125cc was one of many bikes produced by the brand from 1956-1961.

Another American bike in the collection is 220cc, 1921 ner-a-car. Although it was not good in the United States, it contains an innovative direction method for centers. This good example of funky primitive motorcycles belongs to a friend of the museum.

This bike (above) is a 1928 Wanderer “Kaffeemuhle” 185cc model from Germany. Contains an exposed steering wheel and a tan-mounted shifter. Interestingly, after a company Czechoslovakia purchased Wanderer, it became known as Janecek Wanderer, which was shortened to form a well-known motorcycle brand that still exists today: Jawa.
