Laura Delaney is a registered nurse who has worked in the neonatal unit at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines for 18 years. Laura’s registered nurse degree was awarded by the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1982. She graduated from the University of Des Moines PA program in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree as a medical assistant. She worked in the emergency room and general pediatrics before attending the University of Des Moines in 2008. She completed her master’s degree in physician assistant at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2009. Laura worked part-time in the emergency room and with doctors worked . . Laura has participated in many medical missions in the past and is an active volunteer in community activities in many areas.
Laura is currently the Director of Clinical Training for the DMU PA Program and continues to work at the Des Moines Child and Adolescent Clinic. Laura is an active member of the Iowa Medical Assistance Association, a volunteer on the CME Committee in the Legislature, and an active associate of the American Academy of Physician Associates.
Laura enjoys working with babies, children and teenagers of all ages. She is particularly interested in asthma management, behavioral and mental health issues, and general preventive health initiatives.

She graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, specializing in pediatrics. Amanda has a passion for helping families with newborn care and breastfeeding. His knowledge expanded throughout his youth and into adulthood. Variation in the developmental stage of the patient is one of his favorite attributes that serve the general population in children.

DES MOINES, Iowa – Thousands of Iowans have gotten sick and died from the virus in the past year and a half. Two residents who have just been infected with the virus share their experiences with others to show how effective the vaccine is in saving lives.
Dr. Paul Volker and his wife Barbara were very careful throughout the outbreak: they rarely went out in public and always wore masks.
After both were fully vaccinated this year, the Volkers decided it was safe enough for a summer family vacation.
Shortly after returning from a trip, Volker and his wife began to show symptoms of an infection. They tested and were sure both were positive.
