Main Courthouse West Palm Beach – Description: The building faces east and is a multi-storey concrete and glass structure. The building is located in a landscaped area in the center of West Palm Beach across from the old courthouse. In the center of the first story is a large arch with entrances to the north and south. The windows are vertical, with concrete holes between them. The upper floors have large sections with glass panels. The roof line is flat. The building is called the Judge Daniel TK Hurley Courthouse. The courtrooms are located on floors nine to eleven. The building houses the district court and district court of the 15th judicial district. 

Description: The building is located to the west and is a three-storey structure made of brick, stone and concrete. The rectangular building is located in a landscaped area in downtown West Palm Beach. The west front has a central colonnade with four Corinthian columns rising to a wide third-story facade with a large Eagle crest. A wide frame runs along the top of the second floor. The northern and southern parts protrude slightly from the main building. The roof line is flat. The interior has marble stucco and mosaic tile flooring. The former main courtroom is located on the third floor, the roof of which extends to the fourth floor and has a plaster and molded ceiling and maple floor. In 1955, the annex was added to the court. In 1969-1970, an annex was built around the courthouse and annex. The architects were Donald Edge and Jefferson N Powell. Between 2004 and 2006, the additions were removed and the original building was preserved and renovated. The architect was REG Architects of West Palm Beach and the contractor was Hedrick Brothers Construction of West Palm Beach. There is a museum in the building.

Main Courthouse West Palm Beach

History: The county was incorporated in 1909, and West Palm Beach was chosen as the county seat. The first courthouse was the old schoolhouse on the corner of Clements Avenue and Poinsetta Street. The second courthouse was built between 1913 and 1916 at a cost of $122,500 and renovated between 2004 and 2006 at a cost of $18,500,000.
