Delta Flights From Atlanta To Chicago

Delta Flights From Atlanta To Chicago – With the summer 2023 travel season behind us, airlines are starting to reveal their planned routes for 2024. We saw American unveil its transatlantic expansion in the summer of 2024, and now Delta has revealed its new routes for the summer 2024 schedule.

This was first posted a few days ago and I want to post an update now that the schedule has been released and flights are on sale (plus Delta has announced they will be operating year-round flights from Los Angeles to Oakland).

Delta Flights From Atlanta To Chicago

Delta will operate its largest transatlantic schedule in the summer of 2024. This sees the airline add some new routes and expand frequencies in some existing markets. We exceeded expectations…

Delta Paid Me $4500 To Take A Later Flight!

Between May 31 and September 8, 2024, Delta will operate four seasonal flights per week between Atlanta (ATL) and Zurich (ZRH). This will be done according to the table below.

The 4,691-mile flight is blocked 8 hours eastbound and 9 20 hours westbound. Eastbound flights are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and westbound flights are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Delta will use a Boeing 767-300ER for the route.

This will add to Delta’s existing service from New York to Zurich. Zurich is actually a Star Alliance hub, so it’s a stronger market than United (thanks to the transatlantic partnership with SWISS).

Between April 7 and October 24, 2024, Delta will operate three seasonal flights per week between New York (JFK) and Munich (MUC). This will be done according to the table below.

A Growing Fleet: Where Is Delta Flying Its Airbus A220s?

The 4,038-mile flight was blocked at 8:20 a.m. ET and 8:55 a.m. WEST. Eastbound flights are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and westbound flights are available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Delta will use a Boeing 767-400ER for the route.

This will add to Delta’s existing service to Munich from Atlanta and Detroit. Like Zurich, Munich is a Star Alliance hub, so it’s a stronger market for United (thanks to its transatlantic partnership with Lufthansa).

Between May 23 and October 25, 2024, Delta will operate daily seasonal flights between New York (JFK) and Naples (NAP). This will be done according to the table below.

Flight 4, 401 was blocked for 9 hours 10 minutes eastbound and 10 hours 5 minutes westbound. Delta will use a Boeing 767-300ER for the route.

Delta To Recruit 1,000 New Flight Attendants For 2020

This will be Delta’s only flight to Naples, although Delta will compete with United (which flies there from Newark) and American (which flies there from Philadelphia).

Between May 23 and October 6, 2024, Delta will operate daily seasonal flights between New York (JFK) and Shannon (SNN). This will be done according to the table below.

The 3,082-mile flight was blocked at 6:15 a.m. ET and 7:30 a.m. WEST. Delta will use a Boeing 7757-200 for this route. Note that Delta One (business class) is not available on this route, but Delta uses a Boeing 757 configured for domestic use, and the first class cabin is marketed as Premium Select (special economy).

This will be Delta’s only flight to Shannon, and Delta is operating the last route in 2019. United flies seasonally to Shannon from Chicago and Newark, while American does not currently fly there.

In addition to adding the above new routes, Delta will increase frequencies in several existing markets, including:

One major cut is coming to Delta’s transoceanic network. Specifically, on October 27, 2023, Delta will discontinue service between Atlanta (ATL) and Dusseldorf (DUS). This is unfortunate because Delta is the only US airline that flies to Dusseldorf, and also the only transoceanic route to Dusseldorf. Unfortunately, Dusseldorf can’t keep it. Although it is a wealthy city with many businesses, it does not seem to be enough to make the road worthwhile for Delta.

Over the past few years, airlines have built their transatlantic summer networks in ways that were not possible before. The airline has added several summer vacation routes, so it’s no surprise that this expansion from Delta isn’t exactly impressive. I mean, since the airlines have added everything imaginable, there’s only so much you can add, especially if you don’t have unlimited access to planes.

Delta has announced its summer 2024 schedule, which will see the airline introduce new routes from New York to Munich, Naples and Shannon, as well as a new route from Atlanta to Zurich. We are also seeing increased frequency in many existing markets.

Review Of Delta Air Lines Flight From Chicago To Atlanta In Economy

I can’t say it’s the most exciting transatlantic expansion yet, but then again, I think Delta has added a lot of new routes over the past few years. Delta Air Lines has announced a transatlantic expansion in the summer of 2023. These are just the latest long-haul additions for Delta, as it announced new flights from Atlanta to Cape Town, Atlanta to Tel Aviv, Los Angeles to Tahiti, New York to Berlin and New York to Stockholm.

Delta is adding several new routes in the summer of 2023, many of which have already been introduced in the past. However, in some cases we are seeing the return of roads for the first time in over 20 years. Go beyond what we can expect in no particular order.

On April 10, 2023, Delta will add year-round flights between New York (JFK) and Geneva (GVA). This flight is operated by a Boeing 767-400.

This is Delta’s first flight since 1993, and the airline will compete in this market with Star Alliance carrier SWISS. It’s good to see a non-Star Alliance airline operating a transatlantic flight from Geneva again.

On April 10, 2023, Delta will add daily seasonal flights between New York (JFK) and London Gatwick (LGW). The flight will be operated by Boeing 767-300 aircraft. This is Delta’s first service to Gatwick Airport since 2012.

This is interesting because Delta’s joint venture partner, Virgin Atlantic, has pulled out of Gatwick altogether. So this seems like a way for Delta to expand in London (since Heathrow is heavily regulated) and compete with JetBlue’s New York-London Gatwick service. Finally, British Airways has a transatlantic presence from Gatwick Airport. Still, the only seasonal route to the airport seems… insignificant?

By March 25, 2023, Delta will add year-round flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and London Heathrow (LHR). This aircraft is operated by an Airbus A330-900neo. This is the first time Delta will operate the route since 2015 and will include a Virgin Atlantic joint venture frequency in the market.

Indeed, it is a very competitive market, with airlines such as American, British Airways and United also serving it. This will mark Delta’s return to Los Angeles across the Atlantic for the first time since the pandemic began.

Beginning May 8, 2023, Delta will add year-round flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Paris (CDG). This aircraft is operated by an Airbus A330-900neo. This will be the first time that Delta will fly this route since 2020 and will receive a market frequency from its capital Air France.

It’s a surprisingly uncompetitive market, as only Air Tahiti Nui flies between the two airports (the French bee also flies to Paris Orly).

On May 9, 2023, Delta will add 3x year-round flights between Atlanta (ATL) and Dusseldorf (DUS). The flight will be operated with a Boeing 767-300. This is the first time Delta has operated this route since 2020. It is the only non-stop service between the United States and Dusseldorf.

On March 26, 2023, Delta will add five seasonal flights per week between Atlanta (ATL) and Edinburgh (EDI). The flight will be operated with a Boeing 767-300. This is the first time Delta has operated the route since 2007. Delta otherwise flies to Edinburgh year-round from New York and seasonally from Boston.

On May 25, 2023, Delta will add 3x year-round flights between Atlanta (ATL) and Stuttgart (STR). The flight will be operated by Boeing 767-300 aircraft. This is the first time that Delta is doing business after 2020. Of course, it is primarily a business and transport line related to the automotive industry.

Delta Air Lines has announced a transatlantic expansion in the summer of 2023. We are likely to see the return of some pre-pandemic routes, including the return of transatlantic flights from Los Angeles. I am pleased to see the return of the transoceanic connection with the other two German airports.

There are also some unique new routes that we haven’t seen in years (or at all), such as New York-Geneva, New York-London Gatwick and Atlanta-Edinburgh. 28 of the 94 airlines took at least 10 seconds to appear in the rankings over the past two years. 833 ratings
