A pedestrian died after being struck by an SUV in the 14100 block of North IH 35 Saturday night. The driver was on the scene and cooperating with police. This is the 16th fatal crash in Austin this year.

The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the suspects and vehicles involved in “Takeover the Streets” incidents throughout the city on February 18, 2023.
The accident involved a limousine and two pickup trucks at the intersection of Farm Road 620 and Pecan Park Boulevard. Unfortunately, the driver of the limousine died at the scene.
When officers arrived, they found an SUV that was overturned. One person in the SUV ejected and died on the spot.
APD officers responded to a crash involving a sedan, a pickup truck and a van at the intersection of East Anderson Lane and Cameron Road.

A preliminary investigation showed that the 22-year-old was hit by someone while crossing the road. The driver left the scene without attempting to render aid or call 9-1-1.
During these incidents, people threw stones and bottles and pointed lasers at police officers. One officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is being investigated as Austin’s 12th deadliest crash of 2023, resulting in 12 deaths this year. On the day of this accident in 2022, there was a total of one fatal accident with two fatalities.
