Construction depends on how people move into the area, no paint, poor sanitation, rat issues and construction time of 4 to 6 months. Two leases were signed, the first lease was moved in on January 10th and the second lease was moved in at the end of January. .Are state tax credits/penalties possible? For seniors, the sidewalks are not clear and they have to remove trash from the mess (another construction-related problem), leaving them stuck in the winter. The doors were locked for months and homeless people stayed inside. Many times, residents have to threaten to report various violations to the city before MV will address them. It’s been five months and we haven’t been able to use the exercise room and TV room because they weren’t ready…but we pay monthly rent to use them! The property manager said residents must pay $100 to reserve a community room, which can be returned if there are no issues. You never hear that in the big house! The lawn has never been cut, is 12 to 24 inches tall, and residents are pet-free. Trash and outdoor debris were not removed and stunk (near the front door and picnic area). The parking lot was not cleared and locked cars were damaged by people passing by the parking lot. Currently, the doors are closed, but in the event of an emergency, family members cannot reach their loved ones because the door system is only partially functional. Therefore, communities must rely on each other for help if/when an emergency arises. The property manager did not answer emergency phone messages but told residents not to call or not answer his call. He was rude and disrespectful, calling residents “elder”. He has little character or integrity. Their work is unprofessional and unprofessional. No doubt many other properties have been acquired and rents will rise. Please think twice about staying at the Miller Valentine Hotel!
