El Paso Police Warrant Search – Police officers walk outside Walmart at the scene of a mass shooting at a shopping complex in El Paso, Texas, on Tuesday.
The man accused of last weekend’s deadly mass shooting at a Walmart in the Texas border city of El Paso confessed to authorities and later said he targeted Mexicans, authorities said.

Shortly after last Saturday’s attack, Patrick Crusius, 21, got out of a vehicle stopped at an intersection with his hands up and told officers, “I’m the shooter,” Detective Adrian Garcia said in an arrest warrant affidavit.

Crusius later waived his Miranda rights and agreed to talk to detectives, saying he entered the store with an AK-47 assault rifle and several magazines and targeted Mexicans.
22 people were killed and nearly two dozen were injured. It was stated that most of the dead had Spanish surnames and eight were Mexican citizens.
Authorities believe Crusius posted a racist statement online shortly before the attack opposing the influx of Hispanics into the United States. The documentary reflects some of President Donald Trump’s objections to immigration, but the author said his views predated Trump’s rise and any initiative. Blaming the president for his actions was “fake news.”
Many El Paso residents, protesters and Democrats blasted Trump for his incendiary remarks and accused him of stoking political and racial tensions across the country. Trump has refused to incite division and violence, saying this week that he “brings people together. Our country is doing incredibly well.”

Authorities said Crusius drove more than 10 hours from his hometown near Dallas to carry out the attack in predominantly Latino El Paso. Crusius family attorney Chris Ayres told the Associated Press that other family members never heard Patrick Crusius use the racist and anti-immigrant language posted online.
Crusius is charged with murder and is being held without bail. Federal prosecutors also said they were considering hate crime charges.
The attack occurred hours before another mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio, that left nine people dead. The double shootings killed 31 people and injured dozens more; This led Congress to call for immediate action to reduce gun violence.
Trump said Friday that he believes he has the power to encourage Republicans to push for stricter federal background check laws. But Trump also said he had assured the National Rifle Association that its views on guns would be “fully represented and respected.” Screenshots are taken from phone camera footage with permission from Adzari Holguin.

The story of an El Paso family’s harrowing encounter with police shows how treacherous pointing our cameras at law enforcement can be. PAR speaks to family members who did just that when police decided to launch a violent raid on their home and arrest them. We are researching police records and reviewing videos that reveal how law enforcement can retaliate when cameras are on them.
. As I have always stated, the purpose of this demonstration is one thing: accountability for a politically powerful police institution. To do this, we focus beyond the misconduct of individual police officers. Instead, we examine a system that enables bad policing. And today we’re achieving that goal by showing this video of the arrest of an El Paso family whose crime was “Wait Now” and who tried to help a relative who was being attacked. But instead they found themselves the target of a raid on their home.
But before we start, I want you to know that if you have evidence of police misconduct, send it to us privately. By mail to par@. And like, share and comment on our videos. You know I read your comments, and while I may not always be able to respond to your comments, I certainly do and appreciate them. And of course you can always reach me directly on Twitter or Facebook @tayasbaltimore. Now, often in shows, before I tell a story, I like to introduce it with a short thesis statement. So I’m going to make a claim about the police force and back it up with a concrete example. In journalism, we call this going from the general to the specific, or more accurately, showing rather than telling. However, the story I am going to tell you today may be too strange to stick to this format. This is the story of a family who tried to film the police and ended up with not one or two, but six El Paso, Texas police officers raiding their home. That’s right, a family who used their cell phone to exercise their constitutional rights but were arrested, brutally attacked, and faced with serious charges.

As you’ll see in the video we’re about to show you now, a father and his high school daughter who wanted to respectfully and legally record their encounter with the police were looking at jail time. Instead of using this case to highlight more police work, I’m going to do something I’ve never done before on this show: I’m going to ask you, our viewers, for help. Please help me share their story as much as possible to help protect this family.
But let me present the evidence first. The argument started when one of the family relatives who allegedly beat the father called the police. The victim asked relatives to record their contact with the police for her own safety, so Adzari, her sister, and soon her father, Eddie, walked two blocks down from their home to the property, which coincidentally belonged to Eddie. , and it started. record. We’ll see.
Speaker 1: I’m calling because I was trying to get away from him so he wouldn’t hit me. Because I knew this, I felt like he was going to hit me. He grabbed my wrist and then hit me. I kicked him and tried to scratch his face but I couldn’t…
Taya Graham: One of the police officers at the scene looked completely taken aback by the recording. However, another police officer told the family that the recordings made by the police were illegal and were a form of interference. To look.

Police Officer 1: You can stay here. You can leave it or I’ll pick it up from [inaudible].
Adzari Holguin: D. Gonzalez and the three of them… Wow, oooo. You can not. It’s all about me… You just took my phone away and physically attacked me.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Addresses False Tweet From El Paso County Wildland Fire Twitter Account
Police Officer 1: [inaudible] Due to the chaos, I suggest you go upstairs now. Want to get arrested for obstruction or height? Your choice.
Police Officer 1: Because we’re investigating, ma’am, and I told you to hang up because we’re investigating a domestic violence case.
Police Officer 1: Do you want to be arrested for obstruction, or do you want to confiscate it?
Taya Graham: While the interpretation of intrusion or victim privacy is debatable in this case because the conversation took place in a public open space, the heart of this case is what happened next. That’s because both Adzari and his father complied with the officer’s order to stop the shooting and left the compound, as you can see here.

Eddie Holguin: Leave us alone. Leave us alone. Get out of here. [inaudible]. Sushi for kids. What is your problem? What happened?
Taya Graham: But about 45 minutes later, not one, not two, but six El Paso police officers showed up at their home. And it wasn’t just a few curious cops who wanted to ask the family about what they saw. No, it was an actual tactical unit that broke into the house, attacked, and brutally arrested Adzari and Eddie. To watch. [pause while playing recording]
Unfortunately, this brutal arrest was only the beginning of trials for the entire family. Because prosecutors continued the case anyway. Adzari and his father were charged with seven different crimes. I will join the family soon to learn how this situation affects them and the consequences they face. But first, I’d like to talk to my reporting partner, Stephen Janis, who worked on the case and asked for comment. Thank you for joining me, Stephen.
