Catholic Charities Offers Immigration Legal Assistance For Hurricane Harvey Relief
Jacqueline Rishty is the director of immigration legal services for Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Washington. A graduate of Brooklyn Law School, Rishti has served the immigrant community since 1990 as an immigration attorney for Catholic Charities. He has represented clients in cases ranging from asylum to citizenship and has advocated for their rights in various forums, including testifying before Congress in 2000. She organized and chaired a hearing in support of HR 3083, the “Victimized Immigrant Women’s Protection Act of 1999.” Citizen workshops, “Know Your Rights” and counseling clinics. In recognition of his service, he was awarded the Griffin Award by Catholic Charities. Prior to obtaining her law degree, she gained immigration experience as an intern with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (now USCIS). He is a member of the New York Bar.
Molly Albano joined the Immigration Legal Services team in September 2022. He is a graduate of Maryland Cary University of Law and a member of the Maryland Bar. During law school, she was an active member of the Immigration Law and Policy Association and served as a student attorney at the Immigration Clinic, representing clients before the Executive Office of Immigration Review and advocating for immigrant rights in the Maryland General Assembly. As a law student, he worked in the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition’s Immigration Impact Lab and served as one of the Equal Justice Fellows in Ayuda. Prior to attending law school, she served as legal counsel to the Women’s Law Center’s Multiracial Domestic Violence Program in Maryland. She holds a BA in Spanish and International Studies from Muhlenberg College. She is fluent in Spanish.
Sandra Ayala has been an advocate for Catholic Charities since 2002. Since then, she has litigated a wide range of immigration matters, including family petitions, consular processing, citizenship, Violence Against Women Act relief, and U visas for victims. crime He is currently a fully accredited legal representative in the Ministry of Justice.
Ana Palmes first joined Catholic Charities in 2021 as an intern in the Parish Partners Program. She later earned an associate’s degree in human services. In 2022, he worked as a billing specialist at the Spanish Catholic Center, where he gained experience in administrative work. She is fluent in Spanish.

Alison Ranko Beinert joined Catholic Charities in September 2019. He holds a BA in Spanish with a minor in Political Science from the College of Charleston and a Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law. Prior to joining Catholic Charities, he worked for six years as an attorney in the Charleston office of Immigration Legal Services in the Charleston office of Catholic Charities. She has extensive experience working with family-based immigration and clients affected by crime and human trafficking. He has successfully advised hundreds of clients on their legal matters. He has also taught legal research and writing as an adjunct professor at the Charleston School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in South Carolina and the District of Columbia.
Jennifer Bibb-Kerth joined Catholic Charities in September 2013. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work and Spanish from the University of Alabama, a master’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee, and a Juris Doctor from American University in Washington. . brother in law Prior to working with Catholic Charities, she spent six years as an asylum officer for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at the Arlington Asylum Office. Elizabeth Pritova joined the Pro Bono team at Catholic Charities in 2022 as a Project Assistant. After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Spanish and European literature at Moscow State University, he worked for four years in Moscow at a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children with severe burns. After immigrating to the US, she settled in the greater DC area and became involved with Catholic Charities. Having recently gone through the immigration process and having an extensive background in philanthropy, she looks forward to using her knowledge and skills to help the project and its beneficiaries. He is fluent in Russian and speaks Spanish and French.
Kevin Brothers joined Catholic Charities in January 2023, after 15 years of service to the immigrant community, first as a volunteer and later as a temporary employee at Catholic Charities. Before joining Catholic Charities, he was an officer in the US Navy and US Marine Reserve. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, a master’s degree from National Intelligence University, and a law degree from American University Washington School of Law, where he was editor of the American University Law Review. He is a member of the Maryland Bar and speaks French.

Carla Cabrera joined Immigration Legal Services in 2023. She holds a BA in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland. Prior to joining Catholic Charities, he worked in a clinical research environment in oncology. She is fluent in Spanish.
Nora Conces-González, a lawyer from Peru, received her law degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima. Her pursuit of legal excellence led her to the United States, where she earned dual master’s degrees from an American university. He joined Catholic Charities in 2018. He passionately represents clients in immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the US Citizenship and Immigration Services. Prior to her current role, she was instrumental in managing the pro bono program.
Prior to joining Catholic Charities, Itna Castellan worked as an immigration attorney at Sanapria & Associates, representing individuals applying for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and individuals in removal proceedings. He earned a BA in Psychology with a minor in Holocaust and Genocide from West Chester University in Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law. During law school, he worked as a certified legal practitioner at Villanova’s Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic. As a law student, she was a staff writer and conference editor for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Robert H. New Castle County Court of Common Pleas in Wilmington, Del. Churles and Catherine L. Clerk for the Mayor. He is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Maryland.
Prior to joining Catholic Charities, Adriana Domingo counseled and advocated for victims of human rights violations in Nicaragua before US and UN bodies. While in Chicago, she helped survivors of human trafficking and volunteered to help the immigrant community with asylum, temporary protected status, U-visa and citizenship applications. He is from Guatemala and has served as a representative of victims of war crimes. He holds a law degree in Guatemala, a master’s degree in international human rights from the University of Notre Dame, and a master’s degree in American law from Loyola University Chicago.

Yajaira Flores joined Immigration Legal Services in January 2023. Previously, he was a case manager for the Navy’s Immigration Case Management Program. Her work consisted of providing holistic support and access to needed services for vulnerable immigrant families. He was born and raised in El Salvador and immigrated to the United States at the age of 13. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in psychology from Radford University. Before joining Catholic Charities, he worked for two years at a private law firm, where he gained experience in immigration law.
Karina Kare, a first-generation college graduate from College Park, Maryland, joined Catholic Charities in 2022. Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and with Honours. He has four years of experience working in a law firm specializing in immigration law. She has volunteered with Catholic Charities’ Strong Families Initiative program. Her work with the Legal Orientation Program for Guardians helps unaccompanied immigrant children and their guardians access the resources and services they need. She has successfully filed claims and facilitated prosecutions with the Office of Trafficking in Persons for unaccompanied minors who were abused in the United States or in their home countries. He was promoted to attorney general for the unaccompanied minors program and continues to provide social service support to unaccompanied minors.
