Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is one of the busiest airports in the US, serving more than 52 million passengers in 2023. LAS is the gateway to the famous Las Vegas Strip, the Grand Canyon, Death Valley and many other national parks.
Whether you’re flying into Las Vegas or staying in Las Vegas, here’s everything you need to know about Harry Reid International Airport.
Airport Information — West Air
LAS has two main buildings and both spaces have multiple doors. Terminal 1 is the domestic terminal and flights depart from gates A, B, C and D. Terminal 3 has domestic and international flights, from gates D and E.
Terminals 1 and 3 are not connected, so passengers are advised to look ahead to find a suitable spot to avoid taking the shuttle bus between the terminals. Shuttles operate every 20 to 30 minutes at Level 0 in Terminals 1 and 3.
Check-in and check-in takes place at the foot of Terminal 1, with ground transportation available between the two areas.
Esplanade Terminal 1 is located on the top floor with a food court, shops, security and the airport tram station.

Gate A terminal consists of 16 gates named A3, A5, A7, A8, A10 to A12, A14, A15 and A17 to A23, with flights operated by Allegiant Air and Spirit Airlines. There are several shops and restaurants in the terminal, most of which are covered in the Esplanade terminal.
Gates B and C are easily accessible from gate A. Passengers can take the airport tram to connect to gates D or E.
The starting point for port B has 17 ports named B1, B2, B6, B9-B12, B14, B15, B17, and B19 through B25. Southwest and Spirit Airlines operate from gate B and the area is filled with great shops, bars and restaurants, including Starbucks and Hudson News.
To get to gate B, go through security A/B from Terminal 1 and turn left down the long corridor.

To connect to Gate A, take the path back to Gate A/B and turn left. To connect to Gate C, take the path to the right of Starbucks and walk past the pharmacy and pet store.
To connect to gate D or E, take the corridor as you walk to gate C and turn left to the airport tram station, where you can take the blue line to gate D and the service to gate E.
The Gate C clearance area has 18 gates marked C1 to C5, C7 to C9, C11, C12, C14, C16, C19, and C21 to C25.
The journey is quite long and passengers from Gates C1 to C22 can go through security checkpoint C/D and take the green line airport tram to the end of the concourse.
Mccarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada
Passengers flying from Gates C23 to C25 have quick access to the check-in in Annex C and walk to their departure gate. Due to the size of the conference, there are many shops and restaurants, including The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Wendy’s and Jamba Juice.
To access gate A or B, take the booth at the end of the street (on the left side of Jus Jamba), or to reach gate D or E, take the blue line of the airport tram.
Gate D area is the largest convention center in LAS with 44 gates designated D1, D3 to D12, D14, D16 to D22, D24 to D26, D32 to D43 and D50 to D59.
Domestic and international flights depart from gate D. This concourse has many shops and restaurants, the United Club Lounge, Centurion Lounge and The Club at LAS.

At the center of the concourse is the airport train station, and passengers can take the Blue Line from Gate D to Gate A, B or C, or the Red Line to Gate E.
Arrivals Terminal 3 is located below the baggage claim, airport tram station, ground transportation and TSA security checkpoint.
Tours take place upstairs, with the ticket counter and security via door E.
The E-gate site has 14 gates labeled E1 to E12, E14 and E15. Most international airlines operate from gate E, and the concourse has a variety of shops and restaurants, as well as The Club in the LAS lounge.

To get from gate E to D, passengers can take the Red Line tram or continue on the Blue Line to reach other areas.
Airport shuttles typically transport passengers between terminals and gates within a secured area. There are three color lines to help travelers determine their desired route.
Airport buses run every 20 to 30 minutes and transport passengers between terminals. Buses operate outside the security zone, so passengers must reset security when they arrive at the connection point.
Buses depart from Terminal 1 on Level 0, Exits 7 to 13, and Terminal 3 on Level 0 on both the west side for domestic passengers and the east side for international visitors.

Gates A and B are close together – just a short walk between the 2 – while gate C is a little further away. To get to Gate C, passengers must go via Annex C from Gate B or via the road near security area A/B.
LAS encourages passengers to keep fit and walk around the airport before departure. The colored lines on the map above show the desired route and distance (a detailed map is available on the airport’s Fly Fit! website). Please note that there is no luggage storage, so you will need to bring your own luggage and belongings.

LAS has TSA PreCheck lanes in each terminal, but they do not have the same hours as transit lanes:
These hours are subject to change, so check the TSA PreCheck schedule. Outside of the above times, passengers on normal routes will receive expedited screening, but this is different from the PreCheck screening process.
LAS has a TSA PreCheck Check-In Center in Terminal 1, which is available for baggage claims outside the security area, allowing passengers to plan their check-in process after they have checked in. The Registration Center is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 9:20 AM. to 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:20 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The current opening hours can be found online.
Helpful Tip: TSA PreCheck can be especially useful for travelers who regularly depart from LAS, as it is among the five U.S. airports with the longest security wait times.
