LAFLA provides legal assistance to low-income people through domestic violence clinics and self-help centers in Los Angeles (see locations below). Self-help centers are mobile clinics for self-employed people with legal information, guidelines and preparation of legal forms.
Eligibility: The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles follows the federal poverty line and only helps those with incomes below 125% of the poverty guidelines. Family Legal Services: PLC helps victims of domestic abuse and those seeking to finalize a divorce get the relief they need by providing them with the necessary court forms. The PLC, in partnership with the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA), provides training to Orange County law enforcement officers on arrest, money laundering and domestic violence.
