The new building, located at 1005 Blairs Ferry Road NE in Cedar Rapids, will officially open on Monday, June 29, 2020.

The 42nd Street branch will close permanently on Saturday, June 27th at noon as we prepare to move our staff to the new building. All staff at this branch will relocate to the new Blairs Ferry Road location. Located at 1005 Blairs Ferry Road NE in Cedar Rapids, the future workspace for Collins Community Credit Union employees will include innovative and flexible workspaces, open common spaces for community groups, retail space for co-tenants and a retail branch. . Construction on our corporate headquarters building is starting soon! The space is coming up with new lighting, fixtures, finishes, flooring and more. Our staff is so excited to see what our new home will look like as we begin to visualize the final product! Check out some of the places collected below.

You heard we’re coming down to HQ in Spring 2020! Construction is progressing well and our staff is excited about this new location.

The space features a gym, rooftop studio, co-working space, gender-inclusive lounge on the first floor, and 9,500 square feet – local businesses.

The first floor is open to the public and includes a 12,600-square-foot Collins Community Credit Union branch. To provide space for offices, conference rooms and lounges, the branch is equipped with movable walls, allowing the space to transform according to changing needs.

“Think of a booth, but floor-to-ceiling — high quality,” said John Lewis, vice president of IT and facilities. “These walls create flexibility for future needs and can be reconfigured as needed. They are also good for the environment as they are recyclable and do not generate manufacturing waste.

To accommodate national differences in work environments, the headquarters building also has collaboration spaces on the top two floors for use by employees. These rooms are equipped with A/V conference technology that allows employees to easily and conveniently meet with branch managers in other markets to enhance internal relationships and communication across Collins Community Credit Union markets.

The second floor houses a call center and space for storage and recording operations, while the third floor houses executive offices and offices for the HR, IT and marketing teams.

Collins Community Credit Union will support the development of 5.25 acres in Northtown Market, a 35-acre, $70 million mixed-use commercial development. A consortium consisting of Collins Community Credit Union, Hunter Companies and Ambrose Development, Inc., the developer of the Northtown Market project. The site will be developed.

For 20 years, Hunter Companies has provided clients with full-service development expertise, from the initial concept phase of a project to the celebratory ribbon cutting. “We are honored that Collins Community Credit Union has chosen us to partner on this project,” said Sharon Johnson, Project Manager for Hunter Companies. “The building is first class and will position the credit union well for growth and expansion in the coming decades.”

Ambrose Development, Inc. is a development company headquartered in Coralville, Iowa. Saxton is honored to partner with Collins Community Credit Union on its journey to design a state-of-the-art facility.

The headquarters will have a large, flexible work environment for the Collins team and a common space for community groups and organizations to hold meetings, events and gatherings.
