After graduating from law school, I was a federal judge in the Southern District of California for about 10 years. I assisted judges in cases that came before the federal courts, handling issues ranging from civil rights and social security disability to intellectual property and environmental law. Although I often considered opening my law practice, it wasn’t until the death of a good friend that finally led me away. When my friend died, I became the executor of his estate and hired a probate and estate attorney to help me administer his trust. The guidance and support I received from this attorney was invaluable when I was overwhelmed by the responsibilities thrown at me. What I learned from that experience is that as a lawyer, I can bring that value to someone else and help guide them through difficult decisions or through times of uncertainty and confusion.

I grew up in San Diego and knew I wanted to come back after law school to work in the community where I grew up. My family and I enjoy being able to play outside all year round.

I have been interpreting and dreading creating a living trust for the past few years. Mylinh made the process seamless and answered many of my questions. Her follow-up was appreciated and I appreciated her ability to work around my schedule and accomplish such a pleasant job with ease.
