Many patients I have seen over the years would benefit greatly from this extra ‘quality’ time with me or this extra ‘question answering time’ with the owners. Being under general work pressure; My patients and owners were not released…. This was my turning point. I knew I had entered a life of caring for animals and teaching the people they work with to improve their lives and improve their quality together. I don’t think in terms of general “western” medicine. My appointments are based on the needs of my patients and how we can achieve them together; Owner, patient and doctor together. Dr. Karina Salvo graduated from the University of South Florida with a double degree in biology and chemistry, a master’s in biomedical science, and finally a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University. He completed a medical and surgical internship at New York City Veterinary Specialists in 2007. He worked as a medical director.

He served as Medical Director of Medical and Emergency Services at one of the largest private veterinary practices in New York City. He decided to open his own practice. After two shows in New York; He decided to continue his studies in Eastern practice. He completed his training at one of the only two accredited universities in North America for integrative medicine training; University of Chi and Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute.
He was born and raised here in Palm Beach; He worked as a veterinary technician for 16 years before attending veterinary school. In 2014 he returned to his hometown and shortly after took the position of Vice President of the Veterinary Association of Palm Beach where he continues in his role. In his free time he enjoys snorkeling, going to the gym, gardening or being outdoors and of course spending time with his significant other and all their dogs; 2 Argentine Dogo (Adalia and Jeron), French (Barkley) and an old Yorkie (Mr Nico)!
