Cheap Car Rental In Las Vegas Nv Airport – Do you need a car rental at Las Vegas airport? Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), formerly known as McCarran International, is the gateway to Vegas and hotels. It’s also a perfect base for a road trip to the Grand Canyon or on Route 66.
Las Vegas may be known for its cheap hotels, but the same cannot be said for its rental cars. One of the main reasons is that Nevada has the highest car rental taxes and fees in the country and Las Vegas has a higher set of car rental fees.

About 37 million Americans are expected to travel by plane and car across the United States from Thursday through Sunday, according to AAA. And in Las Vegas, experts encourage travelers to Las Vegas to plan ahead as there is a shortage of taxis and drivers.
Jonathan Weinberg, CEO and founder of the car rental and tracking website AutoSlash.com, said cars are available on weekends in Las Vegas, but it will cost tourists up to $110 a day to rent a car.
Weinberg said it costs $763 to rent a sedan from Thursday through next Tuesday at McCarran Airport. “And this is just the beginning,” he said. Some rental companies are already sold out for the weekend.
“Las Vegas tops out at $110 a day,” Weinberg said. In some parts of the country, AutoSlash.com sees rental rates ranging from $75 to $125 per day.

AAA Nevada says Las Vegas is the top AAA.com car rental destination in the club’s territory, followed by Honolulu, San Jose, Phoenix and Kahului.
“If you’re planning to travel in 2021, your experience could be very different from the last time you traveled, so preparation has never been more important,” said AAA Nevada spokesman Sergio Avila. “It might be a good idea to talk to a travel agency because they can give good advice to travelers.”
“The difference we’re seeing is some businesses are seeing a little bit of a wait,” he said of the McCarran Airport Car Rental Center. “What we’re seeing here is happening all over the country — which means there’s a supply problem when it comes to rental cars.”
Many U.S. rental car chains say summer will bring new challenges as companies look to upgrade their fleets.

Last year many companies sold idle cars. Rental companies are now looking to expand their inventory to pre-illness levels as the global chip shortage hurts automakers. And new used car rental companies are also competing with regular buyers who are willing to pay.
AutoSlash.com’s Weinberg says rental car companies are doing everything they can to get more cars. “Across the board, rental companies are adding cars as they can, but it’s not a significant amount compared to the increased demand they’re experiencing,” he said.
Avis Budget Group, which owns Avis and Budget rental cars, said it adds new cars to its inventory regularly and encourages customers to book and pay in advance to get the best deals.
