Fatal Car Accident Maryland Yesterday – FREDERICK, doctor. On October 5, around 10:15 a.m., FCSO deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Buckeystown Pike and the Westview Mall entrance. A preliminary investigation indicates a 2010 Honda CRV was traveling northbound on Buckeyestown Pike when it attempted to turn left into the mall. A 2013 Mack truck was traveling south through the intersection when it struck the Honda in the intersection.

The driver of the Honda, Eddie Thomas Jara, 30, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, was later pronounced dead, police said.

The driver and front passenger of the Ford were transported to a local hospital in non-life threatening conditions.

Investigators are still working to determine what exactly caused the accident. Two lanes were closed Sunday morning for an investigation. It is not clear how long the roads will be closed.
