It’s an interesting history. I bought the car from the last owner’s widow. It is said to have been built by Shelby during his brief retirement and built by others. It was created as a collaboration between Shelby, Ford and MGB. Ford and Shelby argue. Ford continued with the SVO Mustang and SVO Thunderbird. Shelby turned to Chrysler to design its turbo coupe. The ad didn’t include a specific city, but the map pointed to a Florida address about an hour away from me. Of course, the $10,000 asking price raised all kinds of red flags in my mind, as prices for ’69 Stingray convertibles with 427 c.i. Big blocks, starting at thirty thousand dollars!
There is no phone number to contact the seller, only a missing CL email address. So I sent an email to see if anyone would respond.
