North Las Vegas, Nev. (AP) – A driver ran a red light before crashing his sport utility vehicle into a minivan, killing himself, his passenger and seven family members, police said. The convictions were for drug and battery, officials said Monday.
Dead, 1 Critically Injured In West Las Vegas Valley Crash
A member of the National Transportation Safety Board Thomas Chapman told reporters that federal investigators will conduct an investigation “similar” to the one conducted by the police in North Las Vegas, “into broader safety issues of national importance.” “It will be reviewed.

According to court records, Robinson has been in state prison since pleading guilty in 2004 to possession of cocaine and violating his probation, and in 2009 he was convicted of battery on a bailiff.
A man who identified himself as Robinson’s son, Gary Robinson Jr., declined to comment in a telephone interview with The Associated Press on Monday.
On Saturday, police said Robinson’s maroon Dodge Challenger ran a red light in a busy area at over 100 mph (161 km/h) and collided with a Toyota Sienna pickup truck carrying a family of seven. other vehicles, including motor vehicles. Ford Fusion, in which a 31-year-old woman was seriously injured.

In the first three months of 2022, the state of Nevada saw a decrease in the number of victims of traffic accidents compared to last year. This is good news.
Now for the bad news: Despite the positive direction from the state, Clark County’s performance continued to deteriorate in the first quarter of the year.
In March, 70 people died in Nevada road accidents, which was a 14 percent decrease in the first three months of 2021, when 80 people died.
