Benjamin Laker, professor of leadership at the Henley Business School at the University of Reading in the UK, explains that industries such as healthcare – where it is not possible – give employees complete autonomy in how to they behave themselves. Their actions can have the desired effect of relieving stress.

“Since it is difficult to implement the four-day work week, we began to consider other options … We felt that the cry for four weeks is not necessary for four weeks. flexibility,” Laker said.

Laker emphasized that for these programs to be effective, employers must listen to employee concerns and build the system from the ground up.

EUGENE, Ore. –     Oregon Community Credit Union hosts its annual Shred Festival, where residents can get rid of important documents.

The annual Oregon Community Volunteer Association, set for Saturday, May 6, will allow people to get down to bank and tax boxes, election officials said. Credit unions must bring at least one canned food item for Food for Lane County.

The meeting will be held at OCCU headquarters at 2880 Chad Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also, OCCU members can save up to two boxes of gift vouchers per day at any branch location between now and May 15.

The purpose of this meeting is to agree to remove sensitive information and protect against fraud and theft. Last year OCCU cut over 6,000 pounds of Lane and donated over 1,600 pounds of food to Food for Lane County.

OCCU has hosted Shred Fest events for more than a decade, said Laura Brown, OCCU community affairs manager. While the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented an in-person event, OCCU is still able to support branch members for teardowns.

The event reverted to its individual format two years ago, and Brown said he was looking forward to running it this Saturday. Brown said the event is not exclusive to OCCU members but is open to everyone, families and businesses.
