Golden Retriever Breeders Reno Nv – Hello everybody! This is Ripley, our first golden retriever. He is now 12 weeks old and comes from the show line, run by Goodfield Goldens in Reno, NV. It was a dream, I asked the breeder for confidence, the puppy went out to finally do the competition and agility, and he did! Ripley is a firecracker and so much fun to work with during training.
We have a two year old husky that I have worked with and trained a lot, but huskies are huskies, I have to fight to find the strength to get him to join me. This is the catalyst for me looking for a golden as a more marketable breed and I’m so glad we finally got one after a year of searching. He has a bit of a nightmare raising a husky puppy haha, but he is the big brother to him, very patient and loving, sometimes patient, the puppies bite SAD!

Very funny!!

We live in Northern Nevada and raise Labradors and Golden/Cream Retrievers as well as Shih Tzu and eventually French Bulldogs. Our puppies are our family and we treat them as such. All our puppies are used to other dogs, cats and children from day one and even some pets as they get bigger and bigger. They get their first shots and vaccinations before they go to their new home. We start potty training and weed them before they get home. Shipping is available for an additional fee and will be discussed individually to meet your needs.

My family started breeding golden retrievers about 30 years ago. Our first retriever is incredibly smart and takes to chasing balls. She has several puppies and we love her very much. In 1995 my family bought the Captain Morgan from Cokato; He is the most beautiful puppy I have ever seen. I like its bright colors and straight coat with long furs. His grandfather was Gold for the best advertising in the history of that time. My parents’ passion for me. I have been breeding for 10 years and my husband and I strive to keep our dogs happy and healthy and make the whole family happy. We expose the litter as much as possible before they go home, different places, sounds, water, stairs, etc. My lines have produced happy, healthy, happy dogs that everyone loves. They are well made and well bred dogs that make excellent family pets. These dogs love to listen everywhere! We are big animal lovers and our dogs are our companions.
Trained Golden Retriever Puppies
LittleBitta Luck Farms is close enough to Las Vegas, Nevada to have all the conveniences of a 24-hour city, but far enough to enjoy the country lifestyle. (Moapa is about an hour north of Las Vegas.) We regularly train our dogs in harmony and compete in obedience, competition and hunting events. In our free time, we often visit local shelters and clinics where dogs work their magic by sharing their unconditional love. But most importantly, our dogs are family. We rarely, if ever, don’t have at least one of them with us, whatever we do or wherever we go. When the night comes, it’s a race to the first room for the best place in bed! In an effort to only breed for better breeding, our breeder has OFA hip, elbow, eye and heart clearance and is genetically tested for at least PRCD, PRA 1, PRA 2, NCL and Ichthyosis Type 1 and 2. We spend many hours carefully selecting the parents for our litter, and many hours raising the puppies as we try to choose new families for the puppies that will not be with us. We pride ourselves on raising puppies in the best mental and physical health and welcome families who are interested in learning more about our dogs.
At DoubleDown Retrievers, we are blessed to share our home with 3 beautiful goldens who are as beautiful as can be in every sport they try. We breed, breed, train and compete in both conformation and performance venues. In addition to performing OFA hips and elbows, annual eye exams, and OFA cardiologist heart exams, we spend countless hours a day on the most common genetic tests to make sure we only raise healthy puppies. Our dogs have a long pedigree of capable, healthy, proven, good-natured and “outgoing” ancestors who are wonderful companions who are also like therapy and service dogs.
