A man who identified himself as Robinson’s son, Gary Robinson Jr., declined to comment during a phone call Monday from The Associated Press.
On Saturday, police said Robinson’s maroon Dodge Challenger sped at more than 100 mph (161 km/h) through a red light at a busy intersection, hitting a small Toyota Sienna with seven people inside. vehicles including a Ford Fusion in which a 31-year-old woman was seriously injured.

Chapman said the safety committee could focus on what he called “a comprehensive strategy to eliminate speed-related accidents.”
