It’s that time of the new year. The bright lights will shine on the football field like nothing else at a preseason football game.
To kick off this season, the Prep team has compiled a list of some of the stadiums in the area, along with their history and the stories behind their names.
What is the name The stadium is his second home. The first Air Academy, on the Air Academy campus represented by Liberty and Rampart. The current location on the Liberty Campus was built in 1991. Three years later, it was renovated and renamed District 20 Football Stadium.
Fun Facts: Beginning this year, the Hatchell Field football field in the 20th Academy District will be named in honor of Mark Hatchell, one of the longest serving superintendents in the state before the retiring after 12 years as District 20 superintendent.

It is developed by parents and in some cases by players and coaches. The original press kit was developed and approved by a parent. A parent built the newest press box around 2011 after nearby plaster blocks were damaged by high winds that blew them off the ground, Galvin said.
