Alicia ran her own small business in downtown Kansas City for several years and learned the benefits and challenges of entrepreneurship. As an undergraduate, she later earned a bachelor’s degree in community economic development from UMKC, earned her law degree from the University of South Dakota, and has since traveled internationally. Alicia has a variety of regional and cultural experiences that give her a broad perspective on public policy issues.
