Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. This past weekend, our family went to Atlanta, Georgia for a little getaway and we were so excited to stay at the Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta. Today I’m sharing a recap of our trip and a full review of the incredible Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta.
Located in Duluth just outside of downtown Atlanta, Sonesta Gwinnett Place is perfect for families staying in Atlanta, and this beautiful hotel offers spacious rooms and suites, two great restaurants, gift shop, indoor/outdoor pool, gym. center and meeting/event space.
Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta is the first dual-brand property to offer guests accommodations in Sonesta Hotels or its recently opened Sonesta ES (Extended Stay) suites. We had the privilege of staying in the ES Suites and they were spacious and beautiful.
Along with all the great amenities, one of the reasons I love staying at the Sonesta Gwinnett is because it’s convenient to all the things to see and do in Atlanta. The property is located near many popular attractions, shopping centers and restaurants, and guests can also take advantage of the free shuttle service.

Entering the hotel, I was surprised because everything was so beautiful. The architecture, decor and accents are all beautiful and resort-like.
Check-in was easy and all the hotel staff were very polite and tried to make us feel welcome. The two on-site restaurants are located on the main floor and feature a gift shop where guests can purchase snacks and souvenirs. The hotel lobby also offers plenty of seating, free Wi-Fi and access to a 24-hour business center.
We stayed in one of the new ES Suites added in Fall 2017 and they were the absolute perfect size for our family. Our room had a nice size living room, a fully equipped kitchen/dining area, a bathroom with separate vanity area and a good size bedroom.
There’s also plenty of storage and closet space for long-stay guests, and the rooms are pet-friendly.
Last Minute Hotel Deals In Lawrenceville
Oh, and did I mention that to access any of the rooms/suites and various floors of the hotel via the elevator or stairs, you must have a hotel key? This extra level of security is something that my police officer husband and I love, and it’s great to feel safe in your hotel.
One of the things I love most about Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta is the amazing indoor/outdoor pool and jacuzzi area. Anyone with a family knows that having a large pool on site is a must when you have children and the pool did not disappoint.
We were able to get some much needed relaxation in the pool while we visited and enjoyed having the pool to ourselves while everyone else was out.
While staying at Sonesta Gwinnett Place, we had the pleasure of dining at the two on-site restaurants including ArtBar and Grapevine Restaurant.

If you are looking for a great place to eat for dinner, look no further than ArtBar. ArtBar is a bar that serves delicious Southern cuisine, and guests can enjoy a modern atmosphere with beautiful artwork by local artists.
The menu offers a variety of dishes to choose from and we enjoyed trying the unique and delicious appetizers, first courses and drinks made with fresh, quality ingredients.
I personally had the Chicken Pot Pie and it was to die for. ArtBar also has a great kids menu and our boys were super impressed with all their dishes.

For breakfast, the Grapevine restaurant serves a fresh and hot buffet full of delicious items that everyone will enjoy.
The breakfast buffet includes traditional Southern items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, but also many healthy items including fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cereal and an omelette plate.
Grapevine also offers an à la carte dining menu, providing guests with on-site convenience if they don’t want to leave the hotel for lunch.
Overall, we had a wonderful weekend at the Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great hotel. This hotel is perfect for couples and families with children and is conveniently located for visiting nearby attractions.
