Every night, about 10,000 people in Gwinnett County sleep rough. We partnered with Block to make food, clothing and hygiene products available at the Buford Public Library for those in need.
The Buford Mobile Home Park community houses children who lack the resources to help them succeed in school. We support Path United because they help provide educational support and counseling that leads to a better future in their lives.
Sometimes people need help affording basic necessities like food and clothing That’s why we send volunteers to our local co-ops and help organize resources for those in need in Buford. In 1823, the Fairview Presbyterian Church was built just two miles from Lawrenceville. Starting with 13 members, the church grew and prospered as Elder Hopewell’s mission. In the years before the war between the states, we are told it was the leading church by miles, with over 250 names on its rolls. It zealously sought to spread the Presbyterian doctrine throughout the country, and was regarded as the mother church by many congregations. Fairview is now the oldest congregation in the Presbytery of Atlanta
In 1850, Fairview built a church in Lawrenceville “near the Oak Street hill” for the convenience of the Lawrenceville Presbyterians, who found the horse and buggy journey to Fairview too difficult. Problems arose during the war and life was difficult during the reconstruction period
