Adventure Land Des Moines Iowa – Monster is a Gerstlauer steel roller coaster at Adventureland in Altoona, Iowa. It opened to the public on June 4, 2016 as the first Infinity roller coaster in the United States.
Monster was announced on July 8, 2015 on Advtureland’s Facebook page. It replaced the River Rapids Log Ride, a log ride that was discontinued due to maintenance issues. The park was looking for a suitable replacement for the ride.

The attraction in the middle of the park is distinguished by a bright gray road. The monster has a 133-foot (41 m) vertical rise hill and a 101-degree first drop. At the bottom of the hill, riders reach a top speed of 65 mph (105 km/h). The next element is a large surface turn that offers plenty of time extension, after which riders wind up a hill and navigate a twisty point that goes directly into a Finnish loop before entering a dive loop that takes riders down the hill.
