Attorney Anne Frances Bleecker received her law degree from the University of South Carolina, where she was a member of the ABA trial trial team, a student papers editor for the South Carolina Law Review, and a professor of legal writing. Andrea was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. Has many years of experience in the legal field. She graduated magna cum laude from Greenville Technical College in 2020 with an Associate’s degree in Applied Science and Paralegal Studies. Greenville Technical College’s paralegal program is approved by the American Bar Association and is known for providing hands-on, project-oriented experience. In April 2022, after passing knowledge and skills exams, she earned the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) Certified Paralegal (CP) designation. CP certification is known as the national professional standard for paralegals and is recognized by the American Bar Association as a mark of excellence. Shortly after receiving this award, she completed additional requirements to become an Advanced Certified Paralegal. Andrea plans to graduate from Lander University in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and a minor in Political Science. She is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, a national political science honor society. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter. While at Lauren Taylor Law School, Andrea prides herself on providing exceptional service to her clients.

Christy is a Tennessee native, but her home state is South Carolina. She holds a bachelor’s degree in human services with a concentration in criminology. Christy is a certified yoga, spinning, barre, kickboxing, strength training and step instructor. In addition to leading an active lifestyle, she enjoys being involved in social life. Christy is a certified adlitem caregiver and enjoys volunteering with several child welfare organizations.

Rochelle is originally from South Dakota but grew up in the Lowcountry. She works closely with attorneys and clients in our Charleston office to provide the best possible legal service and is committed to the success of our firm and team. She received her associate’s degree from Miller Mott Technical College and has nine years of legal experience. Rochelle enjoys being on the water, traveling and spending time with her family.

In her free time, she hangs out with her cats and enjoys photography. Meg’s main goal is customer satisfaction. She is here to help in any way she can.

Susan Ruckus – Marketing Manager Susan grew up in a small town on the Virginia coast. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in business marketing. After meeting her now-husband, they decided to leave home and put down roots in the Lowcountry. Susan has a wealth of experience and passion for promoting women’s rights and empowering women in business. Before joining our team, she worked at women’s magazines where she was responsible for engagement, developing campaign strategies and creating innovative marketing campaigns. Her creativity and attention to detail shines through in everything she does. She enjoys coordinating photo shoots for our company and ensuring that our brand messages are conveyed clearly and authentically through all visual media. She was primarily inspired by the opportunity to work for a women-owned law firm dedicated to empowering women and changing the world. Caroline was born in Savannah and raised in Pickens County, South Carolina. A local public school native, she credits her parents, teachers and coaches for encouraging her desire to become a trial lawyer from an early age. Caroline attended Clemson University and graduated summa cum laude in three years with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Legal Studies. During this time, she was able to work with an independent attorney in Anderson who specialized in family law and became one of her great mentors; showed Carolyn how to work with each client to achieve their goals. After college, Carolyn attended law school at the University of South Carolina, where she was active in the Pro Bono Law Society and Phi Alpha Delta. While in law school, Caroline worked as a chief clerk in the Fifth Circuit District Attorney’s Office; this gave her valuable experience that helped prosecutors prepare for many trials, and she gained an understanding of how prosecutors handle cases. This experience is invaluable when assisting clients facing criminal charges.

Immediately after graduating from law school in 2013, Carolyn was hired by George C. “Buck” James, now a South Carolina Supreme Court Justice, as a trial judge during his tenure as a trial judge. Legal Assistant. During this time, she was able to travel throughout the state with Judge James, hearing numerous civil and criminal cases and assisting him in all aspects of the role of a judge. He was also one of her greatest mentors, and she is extremely grateful to him for the learning experience she had that year, as well as the wisdom and advice he gave her and continues to give her. After working as a law clerk, Caroline briefly went into private practice, handling family law, criminal and probate matters. She was then reminded that her passion for public service and the courts would never fade. In November 2016, she decided to leave private practice and become a full-time public defender in rural Pee Dee, South Carolina. It was the biggest and scariest decision she ever made, but serving the poor was and remains the greatest privilege and joy of her life. She will serve in this role until she joins in the fall of 2023.
