Schools Vice President Jason Jorgenson called “Promoting economic independence in the classroom non-partisan.”

Resolution D-11 is a response to the Colorado Education Association, Colorado’s largest teachers union, which passed a resolution on April 22 condemning capitalism and saying in part “the CEA believes that authoritarianism exploits children, public schools, land, jobs, and infrastructure.”

The claim is false as stated, but radical left even for the Democratic Governor of Colorado. Jared Polis. Asked in an interview on “Face the Nation,” the Governor called CEA’s position a “vision” and said “This is a great economic engine of great strength that creates prosperity that pays our school fees.”

Strange, indeed. History tells us that socialist countries are exterminated (in the rare cases at all) only because of countries that support economic freedom like ours.

The US can only defend Europe under its nuclear umbrella against Russia because we have the means to do so. Every advantage we have, from our military to our public education system, is only possible through the economic independence of our nation.

Another point in CEA’s statement is that it is not its duty to do so and it undermines the political neutrality of the class. CEA’s website says it represents “39,000 K-12 teachers, educational support professionals, higher education professionals, retired teachers and students preparing to become teachers.”

D11 Board Moves To Prevent Teachers From Asking Students Their Preferred Pronouns

Given the direct impact the CEA decision could have on classrooms, parents and communities began asking D-11 school boards what the decision would mean for instruction in their children’s classrooms, and how it would affect unemployment in government.

In response to their concerns, the D-11 board passed the resolution saying in part “Therefore, be it resolved that the Colorado Springs School District 11 Board of Education rejects the validity of the CEA decision, recognizing that capitalism has done more than anyone else. economics. field. process in history to promote human progress and reassure parents of the district’s determination to provide a neutral learning environment for students that leads to academic progress.”

School Board Presidents Darleen Daniels and Julie Ott spoke against the D-11 resolution. Voting nationally, both supported political and class neutrality. Daniels, who will run for re-election in November, took the CEA’s claim further saying that “countries are poor because they have been exploited. People come because their wealth has been exploited. Their country has been exploited and still is today. I’m sure that they would like to stay in their country if they don’t have someone taking it and using it abroad for the benefit of others.”

Those arriving on Florida’s shores in floating junk aren’t just sharing an illiterate history as they try to escape Venezuelan authorities. He is also the president of the Melpakam School Board, an Indian immigrant who earned a bachelor’s degree in India and received a Ph.D. at the University of Wyoming, Laramie. In his speech on the decision he said,

Colorado Springs Teachers To Receive Substantial Pay Raise

“Personally, I am an immigrant who came to this country, and I came here not because my country is being exploited… I came here because this country is a country of opportunity.”

Director Jorgenson, who introduced resolution D-11, called CEA’s position “anti-American.” Melpakam and Jorgenson are also preparing for another election in November.

The Colorado Springs School District 11 board was wise to distance itself from the radical and undocumented position of Daniels and the CEA.

It is shocking and heartbreaking that people in positions of power in our education system want basic, elementary education themselves.
