Growing up in Des Moines since my early years, I proudly consider myself a lifelong Ivan. I loved Des Moines so much that I stayed local to complete both my undergraduate and law degrees. I received my undergraduate degree from Drake University in 2011, graduating with a BA. in Law, Politics and Society and minors in Sociology and Rhetoric. After graduation, I began my career at the Iowa State Attorney’s Office, until I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer. In 2021, I graduated from Drake University School of Law with a JD.
During my time in law school, I was a member of the editorial board of the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law. After graduating from Drake Law, I worked as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Helen C. Adams in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. I have had the privilege of working with Judge Adams on numerous criminal and civil cases, including conducting extensive legal research, drafting court orders on motions, and conducting settlement and status conferences, motion hearings and trials. to help
