So in preparation for my trip to the Des Moines Arts Festival, I put together a list of the best coffee shops to visit during my time in Des Moines.

With the best reviews in my research, Horizon Line Coffee is a sure bet for good coffee. Described by many as the best coffee roaster in Des Moines! This is no surprise to me as it is located in the West End Arts District in downtown Des Moines. And if your latte art gives any insight into the quality of the delicious, creamy drink, then you’re in for a real treat! Another great thing about Horizon Line Coffee is their commitment to reusable resources. Located at 1417 Walnut Street.

Ritual Cafe is a great place for good coffee and delicious food. They have a completely vegan menu as well as delicious pastries, which I think go well with my favorite latte. The atmosphere is relaxed, with local artwork adorning the walls. Even during busy times, there is rarely a wait for good service. Located at 1301 Locust St. Suite D.
