Des Moines Iowa Coffee Shops – Hello Hello! It’s time for our annual cafe update. If you’ve ever met with Jessica, Tawnia or myself to discuss real estate, kids, family, homes and/or life, you’ve probably noticed that we love coffee and tea. And we love supporting local coffee shops. So without further ado, here are our “Best of the Best” awards (Note: This is not an official award… but it should be).
PS – There is one store on this list that is not open yet…. But it’s coming this spring. Can you find it?

Des Moines’ Best Coffee Shops For Fall Drinks And Things To Do
The interior is still a work in progress, with new large windows in the front and a friendly Nepali-meets-Iowa mural by East High artist Reagan Park. Drive-thru is in use (across from a busy Starbucks). Inside and outside, you can order some pastries and all the usual coffee drinks, along with some global flavors, such as masala coffee, matcha latte or Nepalese chiya, a blend Combines effervescence, increasing the strength of tea and milk. The shop is open every day. Coming soon: Chain & Spoke is expected to open in March at 515 28th St., just off Ingersoll Avenue. The shop is inspired by coffee bike shops in Minneapolis and Bentonville, Arkansas, but has a real local appeal: The 1925 building was once a print shop and still has wall-to-wall windows and lots of natural light. Their cold beer samples were a hit at the Iowa Bike Expo last weekend. Being a career because of my passion for art, I often travel to new places.
